New Redsn0w Can Downgrade the iOS for iPhone 4S and iPad2/3 with SHSH Blobs

MuscleNerd has just announced that the upcoming RedSn0w can restore and downgrade your iPhone 4S and iPad 2/3 for users with SHSH Blobs preserved.

This latest version is targeted especially for iPhone 4S, iPad 2/3 users. This will give them the ability to downgrade their devices which is currently not publicly available yet.

Currently, iOS firmware downgrade is limited to non-A5 devices, because no bootrom exploit has been found for A5 (iPhone 4S, iPad 2) and A5X (new iPad or iPad “3″) devices.

The new redsn0w might also have the ability for you to restore without using iTunes.

Note: You only have the ability to downgrade your iPhone 4S, iPad 2 / iPad 3 if you have saved SHSH blobs for the right iOS firmware version that you want to downgrade to.
